Over the last 10 years, we have carefully developed and demonstrated a unique hands-on bilingual dual immersion concept within our own international schools. Our goal is to help build a global bilingual school network to educate and inspire children and educators alike, to soar to new latitudes.

Founders Open First Bilingual International School in Marseille

Latitude Bilingual founders, Sophie Bellot-Corgnier and Bruno Corgnier, were first inspired to begin their journey in education after gaining invaluable insights from their multinational executive careers abroad to the benefits of an international hands-on approach.

Soon after their first son was born, Bruno and Sophie naturally imagined an international dimension to his education, giving him the opportunity to excel and confidently navigate through an ever-changing, multicultural world.

The founders were determined to chart a new course in international education in France, by developing a dual immersion curriculum, 50% in English and 50% in French, appealing to both local and international families alike. They launched their first school, Ecoles Privées Internationales de Marseille et de Méditerranée (EPIM) in Marseille.

The first school was opened in an urban setting and was met with great enthusiasm, endorsed by both the Inspection Academique Française and the Federation Nationale de l’Enseignement Prive (FNEP).

2008

A Second International Bilingual School is Launched

Very soon after the launch of the international bilingual school in Marseille, the international and local population in and around Aix-en-Provence were drawn to EPIM‘s unique dual language immersion model and its hands-on program that taught an integrated global perspective, while respecting the local culture.

In 2008, Sophie Bellot-Corgnier and Bruno Corgnier then opened a second campus in Aix en Provence (France). Both continue to thrive today with a mix of both international and local families who value an international hands-on practical approach to a bilingual education.

A Dual Immersion, Dual Campuses

Since the creation of their first international school, the founders have been committed to developing a single comprehensive multilingual education model. Year after year, their experience has pushed them to lead their two schools in unison using the same procedure and know-how.

2011

Integration of Multi-language Curriculum & Dual Campus Activities

2010, introduction of Dutch for native speakers as a third language to our program
2011, expanding our module, by adding German and Italian for native speakers ‘native languages’
2011, first sailing camp with our two school campuses

2012

Parent Teachers Association Created, French as a Foreign Language; ESL Programs

In 2012, the creation of EPIM Parents Teachers Association and the first EPIM School YearBook is produced
Introduction of French as a Foreign Language and English as a Second Language as specific service for beginners in our schools.

2014

Latitude Bilingual Is Founded

Latitude Bilingual was launched by the founders of the EPIM schools to serve a larger mission, to create a global school network designed to educate and inspire children and educators alike, to soar to new latitudes.

Since the creation of their first school, Sophie Bellot-Corgnier and Bruno Corgnier have been committed to developing a single comprehensive multilingual education model.

Determined to build on their unique global multilingual teaching model, they imagined the development of a global network of international schools around the world. They have spent several years crafting a unique turnkey suite of education solutions for other like-minded people to create their own school using the same multilingual education model.

Our Accreditations

Our pilot schools have been recognised and approved by the French Academic Inspection authorities, certified by the European Council of International Schools (ECIS), as well as, being distinguished as official certified preparation centers for the University of Cambridge ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) exams, targeted to children aged 7 to 12.
